INJECTION OF PRP (PLATELET RICH PLASMA) AND PLASMA LIFTING

Injection therapy of Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) involves injecting the patient’s own serum enriched in platelets after blood sampling and centrifugation.

Platelets, rich in growth factors, are used in medicine for tissue, articular, muscular and even cardiac repair treatments. In the field of cosmetic and anti-aging medicine, a PRP injection will improve the appearance of scars and stretch marks. It will also rejuvenate the facial and body skin by regenerating and stimulating the hair regrowth.

The blood is composed of 3 types of cells: white blood cells, red blood cells and platelets. In this case, only the platelets will be used and reinjected.

Platelets contain growth factors which, when released after injection, will stimulate the fibroblast growth and the collagen synthesis.

The plasma that has been enriched in platelets will allow, when reinjected, to repair the tissues altered by the time and to stimulate their vitality.

It is a completely natural cosmetic technique that uses no foreign medical substance, but only the human capacity to regenerate platelets.

• The skin revitalization effect: due to the multiplication of fibroblasts and the synthesis of collagen, the skin regains elasticity and tonicity. There is also an improvement in the radiance of the complexion.
• The dark circles: this is the main indication of PRP injections in the field of cosmetic medicine. Due to the fluidity of the injected product and its coloring, the PRP will allow a spectacular improvement of the hollowing and color of the dark circles.
• Small wrinkles: the plasma injected under the skin will be used as a “skeleton” for the fibroblasts colonization, which will regenerate the skin and fade the fine lines.

The session begins with a blood sampling with a specific tube, as in a regular laboratory for medical analysis. The blood sample is then centrifuged for a few minutes to separate the different blood components and to recover the supernatant which contains the platelets and the growth factors.

Before the re-injection, when located at the level of the face, the area to be treated is anesthetized (local or truncal anesthesia).

Then the plasma enriched in platelets are reinjected at the level of the dark circles, the face or the scalp.

The session lasts from half an hour to 45 minutes.
